BUYER EXPERIENCE

1. PURCHASE

This is when you meet your Garrett-Walker Builder Representative – your partner throughout the experience. They will go over everything from your plan selections and options, to establishing a communication plan that works for you.

2. PERSONALIZATION

Our knowledgeable Design Team will assist you in making your new house into your dream home. There are hundreds of options available to suit almost any style and budget – during your design appointment, we will work with you to bring your ideas to life.

3. FOUNDATION INSPECTION

Your Building Superintendent will inspect your new home’s foundation to make sure everything is off to a great start. After that, the local municipality and a third party will also conduct its inspection of the foundation.

4. FRAME INSPECTION

Next, your Building Superintendent inspects your home’s framing for quality and consistency.

5. PRE-DRYWALL INTRODUCTION

Before we install drywall, you may request a guided walk-through with your superintendent to show your home’s mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems that will later be enclosed.

6. DRYWALL INSPECTION

Once drywall is installed the finishes will be quickly completed. You may see cosmetic items that are noticeable during this process. The Building Superintendent will have these scheduled prior to the final inspection.

7. FINAL INSPECTION

This is the stage right before completion of your home. At this stage, your Superintendent reviews the components in your home. This is your Building Superintendent ’s official verification of the quality of your nearly completed home.

8. QUALITY ASSURANCE

After your Building Superintendent ’s Final Inspection, a Garrett-Walker Field Manager performs and additional quality review.

9. WALK-THROUGH

Your new home is ready for move-in, and it’s time for you to learn how to operate and maintain it. You and your Building Superintendent will tour the entire house to examine the quality and completion prior to taking possession.

10. RESIDE

After you have lived in your new home for one year, we will ask for your valuable feedback based on daily living for the year via a survey from Eliant, our trusted customer service satisfaction partner. This is how we constantly improve our homes and the Garrett-Walker Buyer Experience.
